Professionally:
I’m an information security professional and passionate about the field. I’ve been working in computer security since 2005. I have two degrees in Computer Science and several security certifications. However I’m genuinely passionate about learning and improving my skills, not the credentials or abbreviations. In fact, I feel grossly incompetent compared to some folks with no letters at the end of their name. I am constantly seeking knowledge and ways to improve my skills.
Furthermore, I’m passionate about helping and feel that if we all improve our knowledge, the world will be a better and safer place. I love all aspects of hacking including standard penetration testing techniques to code review and binary analysis. While I have a lot to learn, I want to help others learn as well. My goal is to help educate people in the field of security, regardless of skill level. Additionally, I want to continue to learn more from others, because this field is constantly changing.
I have owned a small business on the side with my dad for the last 15 years, and love the entrepreneurial spirit.
Personally:
Well in general I’m a dad, husband, friend and disciple of my Lord and Savior – Jesus Christ. I love baseball (used to play but I’m coaching now), playing and watching golf, exercise and just being outdoors.
